Jamat-ud-Dawah including other political and religious party leaders have condemned the atrocious act of Indian forces in Indian Occupied Kashmir where Indian soldiers entered a masjid with their boots on and desecrated the Holy Quran and gunned down an imam. They followed this inhuman act by gunning down several peaceful Kashmiri protesters in the street.
These acts in the month of Ramadan in which peaceful protesting Kashmiris have been martyred, and the Quran has been desecrated, is the worst form of terrorism. No matter how much these acts are condemned, it seems insufficient. India is conducting a systematic genocide in Kashmir.
The Holy Quran has now been desecrated by India, and our Pakistani rulers still want to befriend them via back channel diplomacy. If our rulers can’t really help the Kashmiris, they should at least avoid pouring salt on their wounds with these kinds of actions. Indian atrocities are allowed to continue unabated while UN and other human rights organizations are silent.
These statements were made by Ameer Jamat-ud-Dawah Pakistan Professor Hafiz Saeed; renowned defense expert, General (retired) Hamid Gul; Jamat-ud-Dawah political affairs representative, Professor Abdur Rehman Makki; Tehreek-e-Hurmat-e-Rasool convener, Maulana Ameer Hamza; Tehreek-e-Azadi Jammu and Kashmir chairman, Hafiz Saifullah Mansoor; Ameer Jamat-ud-Dawah Lahore, Maulana Abu AlHasham; and Tehreek-e-Azadi Jammu and Kashmir secretary general, Hafiz Khalid Walid.
Hafiz Saeed said that just a few days ago two Kashmiri youngsters who wanted to go for studies to India were both martyred. Today Kashmiris who were protesting due to the desecration of the Holy Quran were needlessly gunned down. The Indian soldiers also went into a masjid and gunned down an imam.
Indian rulers are simply mistaken if they think that by doing acts of terrorism is going to thwart the Kashmiri struggle for independence. Brave and proud Kashmiris and Pakistanis will not remain silent on these terrorist issues. He further said that Muslims in Kashmir think of Pakistan as their lawyer and representative, and they raise the Pakistani flag in the faces of the Indians, and are willing to take bullets on their chests for this.
The Pakistani government must not remain silent in view of Indian state terrorism, and it must unveil the ugly face of Indian state terrorism. It is very unfortunate that Pakistani rulers are adamant towards building friendship with India through back channel diplomacy. They are ignoring the sacrifices of our Kashmiri brothers, due to which there is a degree of disappointment spreading among our brothers in Kashmir.
Hafiz Saeed further said that the desecration of the Hioly Quran and murder of innocent Kashmiris should open the eyes of the Pakistani rulers and politicians who want a little electricity and friendship with India at the cost thousands of Muslim lives.
